Our latest news
January 2012
Welcome to 2012 we hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
We were very pleased with the turn out for the Christmas party and how
well it went, we hope that you and your little ones enjoyed it. Thank
you to everyone that helped. As many of you will know we did a bit of
fundraising towards the end of 2011 with the raffle, stalls and Carrie
the photographer doing a session. We are pleased to say we raised £120
and with this money we have brought;- Little People Fairy Tree House and
Construction site, Noah’s Ark, Mega Blocks Castle, some Wooden Blocks
and lots of batteries! We have also very kindly been donated some brio
train track and building blocks. If you are having a clear out of your
toys we are very happy to receive 2nd hand toys that are still in good
working condition.
We have been working very hard to try and secure some funding for Cheeky
Monkeys, like most things at the moment, costs are going up and we are
desperately trying not to pass this onto you. We have negotiated with
The Village Hall Committee our rent for this year which is a 8%
increase. However we are currently talking to Eaton Bray Parish Council
and Sure Start Centre to see if they can help in any way with funding
and support.
There will be a few new faces (well old faces but new to the Cheeky Monkeys
Team!) with us this term, Debs and Linda. Anne and Hannah will no longer
be able to help with the packing away as Hannah’s off to nursery but we
are very grateful for all the help they have given us over the last few
months, there were many weeks we could not have done it without them.
We hopefully now have enough people to run Cheeky Monkeys but are always
grateful for any help you could offer.
We are back from the 11th of January till 28th of March. Closed 15th February half term.
Thank you for your continued support.

So please make sure that you bring a bit of extra money along on these weeks.
We have been lucky enough to get a donation from St Marys carnival fund and are very grateful that we will be able to buy some new bits.
I know we have been harping on about it but it is an amazing cause and takes very little effort: there is still time to do a shoebox. They really don’t need a lot of effort or expense and can really make a child’s Christmas and are a lot of fun to do with your children. The boxes they are receiving least of this year are:
Boys 2-4 Boys 10-14
If you want to just donate towards a box (rather than do one your self) that is fine to please hand the bits in to any one of us.
Deadline to get the boxes to us 16th Nov
Deadline to a collection point 18th Nov
This year we will be closed for Christmas on the 21st, 28th and 4th of January
Thank you for your continued support, Rachel, Heather and Kara
